Despite various leaks already revealing a fair bit about DJI’s incoming first-person-view drone — one of them comprising an unboxing of what appears to be the new flying machine — the company is proceeding as if no one knows anything yet.
A new video teaser, posted ahead of the drone’s big (or not so big) reveal at 9 a.m. ET on Tuesday, March 2, confirms earlier reports that the device will offer 4K/60 frames-per-second video recording. The teaser also includes a few seconds of action footage, which we’d like to believe was captured by the camera on DJI’s latest quadcopter.
While we’re here, we may as well take another look at the aforementioned unboxing video. It landed online in mid-February on the Dominion Drones channel before being rapidly removed. However, before it disappeared, a number of drone fans managed to download the video before reposting it on YouTube.

According to the unboxing, which we must stress may not show the final product, the “combo” version of DJI’s FPV drone will include the drone (obviously), FPV googles, a twin-stick controller, batteries, extra sets of propellers, and various other accessories.
A particularly interesting claim that surfaced earlier this year is that DJI will also be launching a motion controller for the new drone. The controller, which will be sold separately, will let pilots fly the new drone with a single hand instead of using two sticks as seen with conventional drone controllers.
Precise specs aren’t divulged in the video, though other leaks suggest that besides the 4K/60 fps video recording capability, DJI’s newest drone will also feature three different flight modes and a top speed of 150 kph (93 mph).
